DemoShelf

About

See it work before you buy.

DemoShelf is a catalogue of product demo videos. Each entry shows a product actually working and pairs it with a short written summary, so you can judge whether something fits before you spend anything on it.

Why it exists

Product pages are written by the people selling the product. They are useful, but they show the best case: the tidy desk, the perfect lighting, the feature that works first time. What they rarely show is the thing running — how it is set up, what the interface really looks like, how long a task takes.

A demo answers that in a way a specification list cannot. DemoShelf collects those demos in one place, adds a summary you can read in under a minute, and then gets out of the way so you can buy from whoever sells it.

How we work

Show, don't tell

Marketing pages photograph a product. We want to see it running — the setup, the interface, the bits a still image leaves out. Every entry leads with a demo for that reason.

A summary you can read in a minute

Video is good at showing and bad at skimming. So each demo comes with a short written summary you can scan before deciding whether the video is worth your time.

We don't sell anything

There is no checkout here and no cart. When you're ready to buy you go to the seller's own site, where their prices, warranty and returns apply — not ours.

Free, and no account

Everything is public. No sign-up wall, no paywall, no newsletter you have to join to watch a video. Analytics only runs if you say yes to it.

How this is paid for

Some links to sellers are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission when someone buys after clicking one. The commission is paid by the seller — it never changes the price you pay, and you are never charged for anything here.

It does not buy coverage either. Whether a product appears on DemoShelf and what the summary says are our decisions, not the seller's. We would rather publish a demo that talks someone out of a purchase than one that sells them the wrong thing.

Who runs DemoShelf

DemoShelf is owned and operated by Zenixr, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company based at 131 Continental Dr, Ste 305, Newark, DE 19713, USA. It is a small independent operation — no investors telling us what to feature, and no sponsor deciding what gets reviewed.

If something here is wrong, out of date, or a demo does not match the product you received, we want to hear about it. That is the fastest way this gets better.
